A HOTEL with a “stellar reputation” has been listed for sale for offers in the region of £795,000.

The Tweeddale Arms Hotel in Gifford has been put on market as a “charming 16 en-suite bedroom coaching inn in the heart of East Lothian”.

The hotel, on the village’s High Street, features a bar, pool and darts room, family lounge bar/restaurant, separate breakfast room and a beer garden.

Tweeddale Arms' function suite can be used for a range of events including weddings.

The building dates back to the 17th century and retains its traditional exterior, overlooking the village green and river.

Being marketed by Graham + Sibbald, the hotel is described as a "historic establishment". 

According to the marketing material, the Tweeddale Arms has a “stellar reputation” and there is room for the new buyers to “develop the business", with profit for the year ending 2023 exceeding £460,000.

The nearby Goblin Ha' hotel closed in September last year and was listed for sale shortly after.
