A BID for a surf-wear shop on North Berwick High Street has moved a step closer.
Saltrock Surf-wear Ltd, which has more than 70 stores across the UK, has been given advertising consent by East Lothian Council.
The North Berwick branch would be the national business’s first in Scotland.

Permission has been given for a sign featuring the company’s name and logo.
A second application, considering the repainting of window frames and doors, is still being considered by the local authority’s planning department.
The branch would be in the former Trespass premises.
