RESIDENTS of North Berwick and Dunbar have been urged to use caution during the times of high tide as poor weather returns to the county today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday).
East Lothian Council put out the warning as yellow weather warnings for rain and treacherous coastal conditions look set to return.
Over the weekend, North Berwick Harbour was breached as stormy conditions left a huge hole in the 200-year-old harbour wall.
Along adjacent and neighbouring beaches, access stairways, sand dunes and walkways also suffered from high levels of erosion due to the weather.

An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: "Heavy rain is forecast throughout today and into Friday morning with potential risk of flooding from rivers and surface water.
"High winds and waves could also lead to spray and wave overtopping in coastal areas around the time of high tide.
"Last weekend, significant damage to infrastructure was experienced in coastal towns including North Berwick and Dunbar, and residents in those towns should be especially careful during the times of high tide."
