East Lothian is set to face another spell of heavy rain as Storm Ciarán is due to pass over the county tomorrow.
A yellow weather warning for rain is in place from 6am tomorrow until 6.30am on Friday.

The Met Office warned: “Periods of heavy rain associated with Storm Ciarán will affect parts of northeast England and eastern Scotland during Thursday and early Friday.
“Rainfall amounts are likely to reach 20-30mm widely, with 40-60mm accumulating over high ground. Strong easterly winds, becoming northerly by Friday morning, will accompany the rainfall, possibly exacerbating any impacts.”

Stormy conditions last weekend resulted in a huge hole being smashed into North Berwick’s harbour wall with further damage occurring at beaches and harbours across the county.
In Dunbar, a sinkhole “the size of a delivery van” was left on the Lamer Street, near the town’s East Beach, as a result of the weather.

The Met Office has advised road users to be cautious and watch out for flooded or slippery roads.
