Dan Evans and Johanna Konta stormed into the second round of the Miami Open after making light work of their opponents as the main draw got under way.
Evans, 28, ensured he did not waste a second chance at the Hard Rock Stadium, having landed a lucky loser reprieve on Wednesday.
The British number three broke Tunisian Malek Jaziri six times, dismissing him 6-2 6-0 in one hour 15 minutes to set up a clash with number 20 seed Denis Shapovalov.
In search of her second Miami Open title, Konta saw off a spirited challenge by American Jessica Pegula, beating the qualifier 6-1 6-4 in just 69 minutes.
Konta, 27, who reached the third round at Indian Wells earlier this month, will now play number 18 seed Wang Qiang.
Earlier Cameron Norrie tumbled out of the competition despite starting off well against Australiaโs Jordan Thompson.
The British number two went a set and a break up but eventually slipped to a 4-6 7-6 (5) 6-3 defeat.
Norrie, 23, broke into the top 50 for the first time earlier this month after reaching the semi-finals in Acapulco but also lost in the first round in Indian Wells.
