THE East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) enters the closing stages of the campaign.

Three of East Lothian’s sides have home contests while Dunbar United and Preston Athletic head to away tests.

In the top flight, Haddington Athletic welcome Jeanfield Swifts while Dundonald Bluebell are the guests at Musselburgh Athletic’s Olivebank Arena.

Dunbar head to Fife to take on a Crossgates Primrose side desperate for points at the bottom of the table.

In the First Division, Preston Athletic head to Camelon.

Finally, Ormiston Primrose host Easthouses Lily in the Second Division.

Tranent’s Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL) campaign is already wrapped up.

Match of the Day

Ormiston Primrose v Easthouses Lily

East of Scotland Football League Second Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

RELEGATION could be confirmed for Ormiston Primrose if they fail to beat Easthouses Lily this afternoon (Saturday).

Richie Weir’s men trail Tweedmouth Rangers by 16 points and with just seven games to play it will surely take an unprecedented run of form to avoid the drop.

Easthouses Lily have little to play for in mid-table but could secure a top half finish.

The spoils were shared when the two sides met in Midlothian as the teams shared four goals.

Crossgates Primrose v Dunbar United

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

ANOTHER side desperately needing points to avoid the drop are Crossgates Primrose.

The Fife outfit could be relegated to the First Division depending on results this afternoon.

Kevin Haynes will be pleased with his team’s response to losing the East of Scotland (Qualifying) Cup last weekend as they defeated Kinnoull 4-1 on Wednesday.

They could yet record a top three finish – an impressive accomplishment given their promotion last term.

The Seasiders edged the reverse fixture 2-1 and will be looking to do the double.

Haddington Athletic v Jeanfield Swifts

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

ONE league defeat in six shows the impressive run of form that Haddington Athletic have put together after a challenging start to 2024.

Those results, together with a game in hand over many of those above them, means a top half finish is a distinct possibility.

They welcome a Jeanfield side who will be targeting at least a top three spot come the end of the campaign.

The Perth club ran out 3-0 winners earlier in the season but Haddington will be confident based on their recent form.

Kick-off 2.30pm

THREE points are all that is needed for Musselburgh Athletic to secure the runner-up spot in the Premier Division.

Defeat in midweek at Jeanfield Swifts saw their faint title hopes finally extinguished as Broxburn Athletic were crowned champions.

Now, they will be determined to ensure the season does not just fade out without some success.

A draw in Fife between the two sides hints that this meeting could be close to call again.

Camelon Juniors v Preston Athletic

East of Scotland Football League First Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

VICTORY must surely be needed for Camelon Juniors to keep alive their bid for promotion.

The hosts are a point off the promotion places but have played a game more than both of their rivals in second and third.

In contrast, Preston are simply looking to finish the campaign strongly in mid-table.

Victory could be enough to lift them as high as seventh depending on results elsewhere.

The clash at the Pennypit finished 7-0 to the visitors and Preston will be looking for a measure of revenge.
