A CHANCE to reach the last four of the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup is up for grabs for both Dunbar United and Tranent tonight (Tuesday).

The Seasiders welcome University of Stirling while Tranent take on Broxburn Athletic in the quarter-finals.

Dunbar would face Dunipace in the last four while the winners of Tranent and Broxburn take on either Gala Fairydean Rovers or Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts.

Dunbar United v University of Stirling

East of Scotland Qualifying Cup Quarterfinals

Kick-off 7.30pm

UNIVERSITY of Stirling have already ended the cup journey of Musselburgh Athletic and will be out to make it a cup double against Dunbar United.

The Seasiders have enjoyed an impressive season back in the top flight of the East of Scotland Football League.

Promoted from the First Division, they have more than held their own and sit fifth after playing 20 games.

Their visitors provide a step up in class, playing their football in the Scottish Lowland Football League.

Sitting ninth in the table, they have had an inconsistent campaign but are capable of taking on the best.

Tranent v Broxburn Athletic

East of Scotland Qualifying Cup Quarterfinals

Kick-off 7.45pm

FOR the third time this season, Broxburn Athletic and Tranent will lock horns.

The two sides faced each other in pre-season when strikes from Broque Watson, Alassan Jones and Euan Bauld gave the East Lothian team victory over their West Lothian hosts.

Then, earlier this month, the two sides met in the South Challenge Cup.

Lennon Walker, Kallum Higginbotham, Cameron Ross and Ben Miller were all on target in the 4-1 win.

Tranent sit fifth in the Scottish Lowland Football League and it looks increasingly likely that Broxburn will have the chance to join them in tier five as they sit top of the pile in the East of Scotland Football League.
