NINETY minutes separate Dunbar United from being crowned champions and from Ormiston Primrose avoiding relegation.

The battles at the top of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) First Division and bottom of the Second Division have come down to the last day of the season.

Dunbar United top the First Division but could be leapfrogged by Kinnoull, Glenrothes and Luncarty, who all have a chance of being crowned league champions.

Camelon are the visitors to New Countess Park this afternoon (Saturday).

Preston Athletic would end Kinnoull’s title dreams if they defeat them at the Pennypit.

Meanwhile, Ormiston know only a win will guarantee their survival in the Second Division as they travel to Lochgelly Albert.

All three games kick-off at 2.30pm.

HOME advantage could prove crucial as Dunbar United aim to celebrate being crowned league champions.

The Seasiders, along with Kinnoull, Glenrothes and Luncarty, know they will be playing in the Premier Division next season.

However, each of the four teams know that, depending on results, they could be going up as champions.

Dunbar hold the advantage of being top of the table going into the last game of the season and know a victory will guarantee they are champions.

Title rivals Luncarty are at relegated Kennoway Star Hearts and Glenrothes travel to Newtongrange Star while Kinnoull head to Preston Athletic.

Dunbar’s opposition, Camelon, sit comfortably in mid-table and held Dunbar to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture in September.

Preston Athletic v Kinnoull

Preston Athletic last five games: WLDLW

A FINAL home game of an inconsistent season provides Preston with the chance to finish the campaign in the table half of the table.

Title-chasing Kinnoull visit the Pennypit full of motivation but Paul Currie’s men will be looking to finish 2022/23 off with back-to-back wins.

An impressive demolition at Dunipace seven days ago shows exactly what Preston are capable of.

Three points and a slip up for Rosyth would allow Preston to move up one place in the final standings.

Preston were 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture and will be out to record a double.

Lochgelly Albert v Ormiston Primrose

East of Scotland Football League Second Division

Ormiston Primrose last five games: WLLWW

VICTORY over Craigroyston last weekend has given Ormiston Primrose a chance of escaping relegation to the bottom tier of the EoSFL.

They now sit two points clear of the capital club going into the final round of fixtures.

However, only a win will guarantee safety with Craigroyston enjoying a superior goal difference.

Richie Weir’s men travel to bottom of the table Lochgelly Albert, who were winners at New Recreation Park earlier this season.

The Fife side know a win could be enough to lift them off the bottom of the table while Craigroyston face already relegated Hawick Royal Albert.

An Ormiston triumph could also be enough to lift them above Newburgh Juniors in the final table.
