TRANENT Juniors can go second in the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL) with victory over Edinburgh University tonight (Thursday).
The Belters have enjoyed an impressive first half of the season in the fifth tier of the Scottish football pyramid.
A lengthy unbeaten run has pushed them right into the mix for promotion.
It is the only SLFL game being played tonight with a further three taking place tomorrow (Friday).
Colin Nish's men sit four points adrift of league leaders Rangers B and one point behind East Kilbride.
Victory over the capital club would lift them above East Kilbride, who, currently have played a game more.
Edinburgh University, who defeated Musselburgh Athletic this season, sit second bottom of the table having taken seven points from a possible 60.
Tranent won 4-1 in Edinburgh in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
Tonight's match at Foresters Park kicks off at 7.45pm.
