PRESTON Athletic’s future is looking rosy after the club’s development side won the league.
The Pennypit youngsters were presented with the Scottish Lowland Football League Development League Conference B trophy during the first team’s victory over Lochgelly Albert on May 28.
Paul Montgomery’s team lifted the trophy after finishing seven points clear of Sauchie and after tasting defeat on just three occasions in 26 games.
There have already been indications made that members of the development team will make the step up to the East of Scotland Football League side next season.
Montgomery said: “The boys were buzzing getting their medals and having something to show for the season.”
