HARVEY Elms and Megan Gaffney helped Scotland secure top-10 finishes at the latest leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series.
Scotland had men’s and women’s teams at the tournament in Toulouse over the weekend.
Gaffney, of North Berwick, played in Scotland’s opening contest with New Zealand, which they lost 45-0.
The 30-year-old did not feature in the remaining games, which saw Scotland lose 14-7 to Canada and 17-7 to Spain before defeating England 21-19 and South Africa 24-10.
Scotland finished ninth overall, with the men’s team, including Elms, placing 10th.
Elms, also of North Berwick, featured in the tournament, which also began with a New Zealand victory.
Elms scored a conversion in the 28-7 loss to Australia and was an unused substitute as they lost 28-12 to the USA.
He started in the 26-14 victory over Kenya and was named on the bench for the 24-21 win over South Africa before a 42-7 defeat to New Zealand.
The men are also in action this weekend as the global series stops off in London.
