GRANT Forrest remains in with a chance of picking up an impressive European Tour victory, despite a disappointing third round.

The Haddington-based golfer sits tied for seventh going into the last round of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.

Lucas Herbert leads the way in County Kilkenny and sits on -15, one stroke ahead of Johannes Veerman.

Twenty-eight-year-old Forrest sits five strokes behind the leader but is the top Scotsman alongside Richie Ramsay.

Forrest carded 66 and 67 during his first two rounds to sit on -11 but he was unable to replicate that form yesterday (Saturday) and scored 73.

Forrest, who tees off at 12.30pm today (Sunday), will be hoping to take his impressive form into the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open, which gets under way at The Renaissance Club on Thursday.
