THE world's best female golfers are in action in East Lothian today as the Ladies Scottish Open got under way at The Renaissance Club.
Among the field at the course near Dirleton is North Berwick ace Catriona Matthew, who is one over par after one hole so far.
Spain's Azahara Munoz and Nicole Broch Larsen of Denmark are currently tied atop the leaderboard on 3-under, after 16 and 14 holes respectively, followed one shot behind by a pair of Scots in Gemma Dryburgh and Kylie Henry.
This is the second successive year the tournament has been played at The Renaissance and the third in a row in East Lothian – it was held at Gullane Golf Club in 2018 – but this year there are no spectators due to the coronavirus pandemic.
