NORTH Berwick rugby ace Lewis Carmichael could make his Scotland debut this weekend.
Carmichael, 23, has been named on the bench for Scotland's summer tour opener against Canada at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Saturday.
The former North Berwick High School student is one of four uncapped players named in the 23-man squad by head coach Gregor Townsend, with Carmichael's Edinburgh Rugby colleague Grant Gilchrist picked to lead the side.

If he comes on, a senior international debut would cap a remarkable rise for the county ace, whose family live on the town's Highfield Road.
He already has U18, U20 and Club International caps but would become the first-ever full Scotland internationalist to come out of North Berwick RFC should he emerge from the bench on Saturday.
Townsend said: “A number of opportunities have been given to players to play their way into our thinking on this tour and beyond and we look forward to seeing them take to the field this Saturday.”
While Carmichael's mum Margaret remains at home in North Berwick, his dad Bill is making the 3,000-mile trip to watch his son.
Musselburgh-born centre Huw Jones is not on the summer tour - he has had surgery on a wrist injury and is hoping to be fit for the start of the new season.
The game kicks off at 2am UK time on Sunday and is live on the BBC.
