HADDINGTON trials rider Robbie Weir will take part in the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT).

The 19-year-old former Knox Academy pupil will cover an average of 100 miles a day in the competition. He starts among the field at Fort William on Monday.

This is Weir’s third go at the trial, but is hoping for a good finish on the 250 cc bike, having previously taken part on smaller bikes.

The teenager is pictured with Jamie McDonald of JS Mains on Haddington High Street, who has sponsored Weir for the SSDT.
