THERE were celebrations on a county golf course for a lucky youngster as she struck a hole in one.
Lucy Hall achieved the feat at The Renaissance Club, where she is a member, on July 17.
The 11-year-old, who plays off a handicap of 19, was playing the course with brother Sam, and Steve Kelly and Frame Broadfoot, when she struck a wonderful tee shot on the 11th ladies’ tee.
After walking the 132 yards to the pin, the quartet realised Lucy, who is also a member at Gullane Golf Club, had achieved a remarkable hole in one.
Lucy, from Edinburgh, was delighted, and mum Frances said: “Lucy spent the rest of Sunday smiling. She kept asking: ‘Did that just go in the hole?’”
Lucy is pictured celebrating after retrieving her ball from the hole at the 11th.
