NINETY acres of land “in the heart of East Lothian” are being sold for more than £1.1 million.
Two lots of land, near Haddington, are being marketed by Savills, with a closing date set for noon on Thursday.
The larger area of land – at West Garleton – measures 45 acres.
A second lot – at Spittalrigg – is slightly smaller at 44 acres.
According to Savills, the land is available as a whole or split in two.
The land is described as being “well suited to modern farming practices and machinery”.
Currently, the land is used for spring barley, potatoes and spinach.
According to Savills: “East Lothian is recognised as one of Scotland’s most important farming areas, renowned for its fertile soils, favourable climate and strong agricultural heritage.
“Farming and food production continue to play a significant role in the local economy.
“A range of agricultural merchants, machinery dealers and farm suppliers operate throughout the region.”
The West Garleton site is to the north of Haddington, while the Spittalrigg land is to the west of the town.
