AN AUTUMN afternoon tea can be enjoyed at Musselburgh Congregational Church later this month.
The event, which will raise funds for ongoing building work at the church, will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2.30-4pm.
The Rev Edmonde Openshaw, church minister, said: "The rest of the harling is due to be stripped off next month, from the wall along the pavement and the gable ends, returning it to its pre-1965 exposed stone.
"When weather permits, the concrete-based mortar will then be removed and replaced with lime-based mortar."
A “chilled afternoon with good chat and great company” is on offer at the afternoon tea, which costs £12 per person. Special diets are catered for by pre-order.
