RESCUE crews were called out yesterday (Saturday) after a report of kayakers in difficulty.
Dunbar Coastguard joined colleagues from Eyemouth, as well as the Eyemouth RNLI crew, following a call at about 10.50am.
The lifeboat crew were able to investigate and confirmed that there was no one at risk or requiring assistance.
A spokesperson for Eyemouth Coastguard said: “They did, however, identify two small vessels out fishing in the area.
“With all appearing to be well, all teams were stood down and returned to their respective stations.
“A big thank you to the first informant — you did exactly the right thing by reporting your concerns.
“If you see something at sea or along the coast that doesn’t look right, don’t hesitate to report it.”
