A SHOP in the centre of Tranent has been listed for sale, said to be suitable for “a variety of uses”.

The premises at 42 High Street comprises a retail unit on the ground floor of a two-storey building, most recently home to business Little Eco & Co.

It sold second-hand clothes, household items, shoes and accessories, opening last November.

Previously, it was Sarah Brown Hairdressing.

The unit has now been listed for sale by Graham & Sibbald for offers in excess of £100,000.

According to the listing, it is suitable for a range of uses.

The rear of the shop is used for ancillary storage accommodation, and contains a toilet and a “tea preparation area”.

The listing reads: “The front elevation of the unit comprises a full-height single-glazed display window, providing excellent natural light and strong street presence.

“Internally, the retail area benefits from a main front shop with suspended timber flooring finished with lino throughout.

“Internal walls comprise a mixture of solid and stud walls.

“The ceiling incorporates suspended ceiling tiles with artificial lighting via the integrated spotlights. Heating is provided via an all-electric system.”
