Six charged over alleged abduction of man found in Longniddry

SIX people have now been charged over the alleged abduction of a man who was found in Longniddry yesterday.

The 22-year-old was taken to hospital as a precaution after being traced by police in the village.

He had been reported abducted from the Canonmills area of Edinburgh at about 10.30pm on Thursday.

The A198 was closed between Coal Road and the junction for Cunningham Court during the investigation but has since reopened.

Five men, aged 21, 21, 22, 23, and 45, and a 40-year-old woman are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
