EMERGENCY services were called to a road accident near Aberlady this morning.
Firefighters, police and ambulance crews were alerted to the A198, west of Aberlady, following reports of a collision involving one vehicle at about 11.19am.
No casualties have been reported.
The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been disclosed.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.19am on Tuesday, 4 August to reports of a collision involving one vehicle at the A198 near Aberlady.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and firefighters assisted emergency service partners.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
The incident comes just weeks after an 80-year-old man died following a one-vehicle crash on the A198, about three-quarters of a mile east of the Lyars Road junction in Longniddry.
While, just two weeks ago, an Aberlady couple had a lucky escape after a car crashed into their home in a late-night smash after coming off the A198 at the junction of The Pleasance.
