ARRESTS have been made in relation to anti-social behaviour in the centre of Musselburgh.

Police worked with East Lothian Council throughout July to target anti-social behaviour and “public alcohol consumption/substance misuse”.

The initiative has focused on the town’s High Street and also beside the River Esk.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland encouraged people to contact 101 if they witnessed anti-social behaviour.

They said: “As a result of these efforts, the following actions have been taken: three warrant arrests; two charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal; two Fixed Penalty Notices; and five Recorded Police Warnings.

“Numerous alcohol seizures/verbal warnings.

“Those involved have also been served anti-social behaviour warning notifications from the council.

“This is a continued effort to keep our communities safe.”
