AN AFTERNOON of activities, music and storytelling will ensure plenty of fun for all ages while inspiring conversations about the environment.
The annual Wee Green Festival invites local organisations to Tranent for a programme of bookable and drop-in sessions.
A line up of stalls will fill The Fraser Centre, Winton Place, on August 5 for the third iteration of the event.
East Lothian Climate Hub will be in attendance, as well as the Countryside Rangers, Natural Connections and Tranent Eco-Church.
Fixing for a Future will host a denim fixing workshop, 10am to noon, using specialist Japanese sashiko and boro techniques.
It is free to join in but anyone interested should bring an old item to repair.
At the same time, the East Linton-based charity will host summer crafting for children, during which they will make decorations from lollipop sticks and recycled fabrics.
Young people should be accompanied by an adult.

Also getting involved will be Tranent Wombles, who carry out litter picking and champion nature in the town, Lower Impact Living, Choose Play and Tranent Allotments.
In addition, Kit Stop will take part – a sports recycling programme run by Active Schools, it collects new or no-longer-used sports equipment and clothing, redistributing it back into the local community.
Lynn Fraser of Fantoosh Sketching will offer free, nature-inspired sketching sessions from the centre’s courtyard at 1pm; there is no need to book.
There will also be bike rides to the nearby Forest Garden, which was redeveloped by Tranent Wombles two years ago.
Storyteller Russell will captivate listeners with an eco-tale at a cosy space in the venue.
Cycling Scotland and team members from Edinburgh Zoo will also join the fun, free, interactive festival, with stalls set up from 1pm to 3.30pm.
