A FREE adult ADHD support workshop is set to take place in North Berwick next week.
Procrastination Station, a non-profit organisation run for people with ADHD by people with ADHD in Scotland, will host the introductory session at North Berwick Rugby Club next Thursday (July 30), from 10am to noon.
The workshop is designed "to act as a bridge for people at various stages of their journey", whether that be people considering finding support for the first time, those who have already signed up to upcoming courses or are simply looking for an informal, diagnosis-free space to connect with others.
Organisers say that the session will act as a “try before you buy” taster for their six-week strategy courses, while also giving confirmed attendees the chance to meet coaches and fellow participants in advance.
This comes in the run-up to the launch of two subsidised six-week courses in North Berwick next month, run with support from North Berwick Trust.
The courses are designed for adults with ADHD, whether formally diagnosed or not.
Each session offers a supportive environment to explore how ADHD affects daily life.
Participants will develop tailored strategies for improving focus, managing overwhelm and building self-understanding.
Attendees will also receive a workbook and session slides to support their learning.
There are two course options: Tuesday evenings starting on August 11 from 6pm to 8pm, and Thursday mornings starting on August 13 from 10am to 12pm.
Both courses will be held at North Berwick Rugby Club on Dunbar Road.
The full six-week programme costs £65, with a discount available for low-income households.
Those who qualify can attend for £32.50 by requesting a code by contacting Carol Stobie, co-director of the organisation, through email at carol@procrastination-station.co.uk
East Lothian residents are eligible for the subsidised rate thanks to funding from North Berwick Trust.
Booking for the introductory session and/or the six-week course is available through Procrastination Station's website or Facebook page.
