A FORMER phonebox in the centre of Dunbar will be transformed to house a potentially life-saving device.
First Responders East Berwickshire and Dunbar are appealing for help as they get ready to change the phonebox outside Lauderdale Park.
A spokesperson for the group, which is looking for more committee members, said: “We are currently in the early stages of planning and renovation, and as part of this, the door will be temporarily removed for safety while work is carried out.
“This is just the beginning, and we’re looking forward to sharing our wider plans for the phonebox over the coming weeks.
“Thank you for your patience and support – we can’t wait to show you what’s to come!”
A defibrillator is a life-saving medical device used to treat sudden cardiac arrest.
It works by delivering a controlled electric shock to the heart, attempting to reset its electrical system and restore a normal heartbeat.
