MORE than 100 young people enjoyed a weekend of adventure, teamwork and outdoor learning as part of a Scout camp.
They got stuck into activities, including making their own fresh popcorn, trying their hand at archery and even donning special outfits to compete in sumo wrestling.
1st North Berwick Scout Group held its biennial Group Camp at Fordell Firs in Fife, bringing together Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from the age of six up to 17.
Participants took part in a wide range of team-building and skills-based activities across the weekend, aiming to build confidence, resilience and friendships between them, while having a "fantastic adventure".
They kept busy throughout the camp by crafting and flying their own kites, had fun on a bungee trampoline, sat round a campfire, had fun on a slip and slide, and challenged themselves on an assault course.
Laura Hill, group lead volunteer, reflected on a successful camp, supported by a team of 35 volunteers.
She said: “The weekend was packed with exciting teambuilding and skills building activities, giving everyone the opportunity to challenge themselves, make new friends and create lasting memories.
“Embracing the spirit of Scouting, our young people enjoyed a fantastic adventure-filled camp and a great time was had by all.”
