A SIX-YEAR-OLD was taken to hospital following a crash with a white van while he was on his bike in Tranent.

Officers are now appealing for information and footage to establish the full circumstances of the incident on Scott Glynn Walk on Saturday.

The boy attended hospital for treatment and the driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

Police received a report of the crash at about 5pm.

Constable Daniel Carruthers said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash-cam or private CCTV which could assist to contact us.”
