A PEDESTRIAN has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A1 near Tranent last night.
The A1 near Tranent was closed after police received reports of "a crash involving a pedestrian and a car" at around 11.10pm on Friday.
A 46-year-old man, the pedestrian, was taken to hospital for treatment, an update on his condition has not been confirmed.
No other injuries were reported.
The A1 southbound at around 2.30am this morning.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are not yet known and a spokesperson from Police Scotland confirmed "enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances".
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
