A NEW mental health organisation is set to launch in Musselburgh.
The Mental Wellbeing Club, which offers weekly, community-based support sessions, is set to open Monday at The Secret Brew in Newhailes Business Park.
Caroline Strawson, founder and CEO of the organisation said: "The Mental Wellbeing Club is a worldwide network of safe, consistent, community-based spaces that offer bottom-up, trauma-informed mental wellbeing support."
Sessions run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and follow a structured A-B-C format: Arrive and Settle, Build Capacity, and Connect, Chat, and Integrate.
Organisers say each session is themed and designed to help attendees feel safe, understand their nervous system and emotional responses, learn practical coping tools for everyday life, and reconnect with themselves and others.
The club emphasises early, accessible support and offers a space to "regulate rather than escalate".
Sessions do not require a diagnosis.
A spokesperson for the club said that their approach was designed to be accessible, offering practical tools that could be used in daily life and encouraging connection without pressure or judgement, leaving participants with strategies for self-understanding and coping, with a focus on nervous system regulation.
The club says sessions will run weekly, providing a 'consistent' space for ongoing mental wellbeing support.
