AN INTERNATIONAL footballer temporarily swapped the green of Parkhead for the greens of Gullane.
Celtic midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, capped 35 times for England, stopped off in the village and enjoyed a round on Gullane No.1 last Monday.
A spokesperson for the golf club said: “We were delighted to welcome former Arsenal, Liverpool and England footballer and current Celtic star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the club, as he enjoyed a round on Gullane No.1.
“A keen golfer, Alex put together a strong performance in challenging links conditions!”

The 32-year-old, who began his career at Southampton and also played for Turkey’s Besiktas, has played seven games for Celtic since joining earlier this year.
He came off the bench on Sunday but was unable to prevent his side from going down 2-0 to Dundee United.
The reigning Scottish Premiership champions currently sit third in the table – five points behind leaders Hearts with seven games to play.
