A SUICIDE prevention training course will be held in Prestonpans next month, offering hands-on and practical guidance.
The two-day workshop, hosted by Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), is open to anyone over the age of 18 who lives, works or volunteers in East Lothian.
Attendees will be taught how to spot the signs that someone might be at risk, offer immediate support, build a safety plan together and link them with the right support.
The sessions will be held on February 18 and 19, between 9.30am and 5pm, at the Pennypit Family Learning Centre, Double Dykes, Rope Walk.
There is no charge thanks to funding from Volunteer Centre East Lothian’s community mental health and wellbeing fund.
