ALL flights to and from Edinburgh Airport were suspended earlier this morning due to an air traffic control outage.

The airport was hit with IT problems which are believed to have started at about 8.30am and saw all flights temporarily grounded, leaving some passengers stuck sitting on planes unable to get airborne.

The airport has now confirmed that systems are working again and flights have resumed.
