A VARIED programme of performances have been announced for The Brunton's winter programme.
National Theatre Live will present The Fifth Step at Loretto Theatre in Musselburgh on Thursday, a critically acclaimed new play by David Ireland, starring Jack Lowden and Martin Freeman.
The play follows James, a participant in Alcoholics Anonymous, who becomes a sponsor to newcomer Luka.
As their relationship develops and Luka approaches step five, dangerous truths emerge.
Northesk Parish Church in Musselburgh will also welcome back the annual Royal Northern Sinfonia's candlelight concert on Friday, offering concert-goers a selection of atmospheric pieces.
The Wizard of Oz is year's Brunton pantomime and runs at the Corn Exchange in Haddington from next Friday (December 5) to December 13, before moving to Loretto Theatre from December 19 to 27.
A musical afternoon is also scheduled at Northesk Parish Church, courtesy of pianist Ariel Lanyi.
The concert next Tuesday (December 9) is the final instalment of the Bite-Sized Concert at Lunchtime series for 2025, beginning at noon with an optional light lunch, before the concert at 1pm.
2026 will also start off with another National Theatre Live performance at Loretto Theatre.
David Ireland's modern take on Shakespeare's Hamlet stars Olivier Award-winner Hiran Abeysekera and is scheduled for January 22.
Music gigs are also on the cards at the Corn Exchange in February
On the bill are Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker and John Doyle, who plan to captivate audiences on February 20.
The following day will see Bombskare raising the roof with their energetic, big-band showmanship.
On February 20, there will also be a performance by stand-up comedian Connor Burns with his new show Gallus at Loretto Theatre.
On February 21, comedian Craig Hill will be entertaining with his Highland Fling routine, also at Loretto Theatre.
