A CAR was seen on fire in Musselburgh in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday), shortly after Bonfire Night celebrations came to an end.
Firefighters were called to Pinkiehill Crescent at about 12.40am to tackle the blaze.
Police were alerted to the incident at 7.15am yesterday and have since charged four male youths and one female youth in connection with the alleged incident.
Their cases will now be passed to the relevant authorities.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.29am on Thursday, November 6, to reports of a vehicle on fire near to Pinkiehill Crescent in Musselburgh.
"Operations Control immediately mobilised one appliance to the scene and firefighters extinguished the fire.
"There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 7.15am on Thursday, November 6, 2025, we were made aware that overnight a vehicle that had been pushed on to a bonfire at Pinkiehill Crescent, Musselburgh, and burned out.
"Four male youths and one female youth have been charged in connection and will be reported to the relevant authorities.”
