A SERIAL sex pest who exposed himself to two men and and performed a solo sex act in the presence of one has been sent to prison.

Port Seton pensioner Robert Cockburn appeared for trial from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week but pleaded guilty to both offences prior to the hearing going ahead.

Cockburn, of Links View, admitted to a charge of exposing himself in a sexual manner and touching himself in front of the first man on Bath Street in Edinburgh on August 10.

He also pleaded guilty to intentionally exposing his genitals and carrying out the solo sex act towards another man at the same location three weeks later on September 2.

The 78-year-old had been in custody since his arrest last month and was sentenced to a six-month jail term following his guilty pleas.
