Braepeak Limited has been given permission by East Lothian Council to build on the land to the rear of Domino’s on the town’s Bridge Street.
According to the plans, the two ground-floor flats will have three bedrooms and private entrances, while the first-floor flats will each have two bedrooms, with a shared stair.

Permission was given despite two members of the public raising concerns about traffic and parking, as well as a loss of privacy.
The site was previously earmarked for development more than 20 years ago when two houses were proposed for the site.
The planning officer’s report notes: “The regeneration of this vacant site with this appropriately designed building will enhance the character and appearance of the conservation area and the setting of the adjoining listed building.”
