A busy road that closed at the weekend due to a gas leak will be shut for one week to allow gas main repairs to take place.
On Saturday, Police Scotland alerted road users that the B1377, between Longniddry and Ballencrieff, had been closed following a report of a gas leak.
Residents affected by the suspected gas leak have spoken out, with people claiming they have had no communications from SGN, the company which owns the gas main, at all.

David Chalmers, business partner at Lochhill Farm, told the Courier he could smell gas on Saturday.
He said: "I smelt gas on Saturday morning when I was driving into Edinburgh, from the farm, and when I came back in the afternoon the road was closed."
SGN has confirmed to the Courier that there is "no risk to the public" but that the road required to be closed to ensure "the safety of both our engineers and motorists" while they carry out gas main repairs beneath the carriageway, east of Spittal.
Joyce Hume, 74, resident of Lochhill Cottages, said that communication from SGN on the issue had been "poor".
She said: "I was at the doctor's this morning and that drive would normally take me five or so minutes but the diversion is something else.
"I completely understand that if something needs fixed, it needs fixed but I have had no information from SGN at all.
"I think the communication has been poor."
Another residents of Lochhill Cottages, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "I found out about the road closure by driving down on Sunday morning.
"A little bit of a heads up after the closure of the road would have been appreciated.
"Even a wee note through my door, or someone to knock and tell me would have been great, but absolutely nothing."
A resident of Ballencrieff Cottages said: "I haven't had any information on this at all."
A spokesperson for SGN said: "This work is extremely complex and we now require specialist equipment to carry out a permanent repair to our gas main.
"It’s likely that repairs will take one week to fix, and the road will remain closed during this time for safety reasons.
"A signed diversion route is in place for motorists, and local access is being maintained for the small number of residents directly affected. We will speak directly to these residents to ensure they are kept updated."
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “We are currently facilitating an emergency road closure on the B1377 while SGN engineers carry out a permanent repair to a gas main.
“SGN has informed the council this repair will take a week to complete. The road will remain closed for the safety of the SGN engineers on site during this time.
“Local access will be maintained for the small number of residents affected by the road closure, and a signed diversion has been put in place for motorists.”
SGN estimates works will be completed by the end of the week.
Motorists travelling east are being diverted, at Longniddry station, along the coast road while motorists travelling west have the option, when reaching Ballencrieff, of diverting via Haddington or the coast road.
