Information drop-in event to be held in Port Seton

AN INFORMATION drop-in event is set to take place in Port Seton next week.

The event, which will be held at the Port Seton Centre from noon to 2pm on Wednesday, will provide information and support to the community.

The drop-in is free for anyone to attend.

Organisations attending include Social Security Scotland, Circle, Climate Change Hub, Sure Start, Enable Works, Citizens Advice Bureau and East Lothian Council’s early years’ service.

The council is working in partnership with various partners including the NHS to explore more locally based drop-ins across East Lothian.

Jordan Irvine, the council’s community development officer, said: "Port Seton Centre has already been running a monthly drop-in on Thursdays with Social Security Scotland which has highlighted the need for services to be accessible within local communities.

"We’re hoping to replicate this in other areas of the county."
