More than a month's worth of essential roadworks has begun on a major road in North Berwick.
Beginning today, June 17, the work will be carried out on Clifford Road, the thoroughfare that connects Station Road to Law Road.
The work, carried out by ScottishPower, is expected to be finished by July 19.
The road is to remain open with temporary traffic lights put in place until the works are concluded.
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: "ScottishPower will begin essential network upgrade works in North Berwick next week (w/c 17 June) on the town’s Clifford Road moving towards Law Road.
"Temporary traffic lights will be in place; there are no planned road closures. Works are expected to complete by 19 July assuming the upgrades are completed within this timescale. Any issues or concerns should be directed to ScottishPower."
