A MUSSELBURGH man found to have knuckledusters after being arrested for assault has been jailed.
Jamie Hall, 31, assaulted a woman by spitting at her while on the town’s Station Road on April 17 last year.
He then attempted to headbutt PC James Speed on the head after police had been called out to the disturbance.
During a search, it was then found that Hall was in possession of a set of knuckledusters.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to all three offences.
Sheriff Alistair Noble sentenced Hall, of Moir Avenue, to 16 months in custody
