A WALLYFORD motorist has been banned from the road after he was caught driving with drugs in his system.
Paul Sleigh, 32, was found to have 7mg of Delta-9 – a chemical found in cannabis – per litre of blood after he had been stopped by police on the village’s Salters Road on November 16, 2022.
The legal limit is 2mg per litre of blood. Sleigh, of Affleck Rise, pleaded guilty at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday.
He also had a not guilty plea accepted to possessing a quantity of cannabis. Sheriff Peter McCormack banned Sleigh from driving for 12 months and fined him £580.
