COCKTAILS could soon be on the menu in the centre of Musselburgh as the bar and restaurant group behind a popular North Berwick venue looks to expand.
Plans for alterations to the former M&Co premises on Musselburgh High Street were given the go-ahead earlier this year.
Now, Buzzworks Hospitality Limited, which operates more than a dozen premises across the country, including North Berwick’s Herringbone bar and restaurant, plans to open in the Honest Toun.
Buzzworks already has venues in Ayrshire and Edinburgh, as well as Greenock and Linlithgow.
Drawings included with the approved planning application show a central bar, surrounded by tables and chairs. An area for private dining is also included on the ground floor, while upstairs will be used mostly for storage.
It is believed the venture would be called Lido Musselburgh.
Opened on North Berwick’s Westgate in 2014, Herringbone joined the Buzzworks group in 2022.
Musselburgh’s M&Co store closed 12 months ago.
