A FOUR-FIGURE sum of cash was stolen from East Linton’s Co-op store during an early hours break-in.

An investigation has been launched by police following the theft from the High Street shop at about 2.15am yesterday (Wednesday).

A number of enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to get in contact.

Detective Sergeant Jordan Sharp said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have any information which could assist to contact us.

“I am also appealing to anyone who lives in the area and who may have private CCTV which could help to get in touch.”
