A COUNTY motorist has been given an interim road ban after he was caught behind the wheel of a vehicle while disqualified.
Jordan McGregor, 37, was pulled over by police officers at Spott Roundabout, near Dunbar, while he was travelling southbound on the A1 on March 16.
Following a police check, it was found that McGregor had already been banned from driving following a separate incident.
Officers also discovered that McGregor, of James Kirk Way, Dunbar, had no valid insurance for the vehicle due to his disqualification.
McGregor admitted both offences when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Monday.
He also had a not guilty plea accepted by the Crown to a charge of not wearing a seatbelt during the same incident.
Sheriff Stirling issued McGregor with an interim driving ban and deferred full sentence for the preparation of reports to next month.
