TWO youngsters were pictured dangerously holding onto the back of a bus heading into Port Seton on Monday evening.
A passer-by captured the image of the two individuals as the Lothian bus headed into Port Seton at about 5.20pm on Monday evening.
After sharing the image on Facebook, the individual said they were shocked by the amount of “laughing emoji” reactions to the post and was concerned that people were not taking the issue seriously.
They said: “We were holding up traffic so couldn’t stop long.
“What’s more shocking is the amount of laughing emojis on the post.”
The passer-by was a passenger in a car behind the bus and alerted the driver. They said they were unsure if the driver was able to remove them as they were holding up traffic and had to drive on.
Many comments on the post noted that the children would be entitled to an under-22 bus pass and therefore would have been able to ride the bus safely free of charge.
However, one commenter said that they might have been unable to obtain the pass and could have needed to get home.
Lothian Buses has been contacted for comment.
