ATTEMPTS are being made to reunite various engraved items with their owners.

Police in Musselburgh are looking to trace the owner or owners of the half dozen items and encouraged people to get in contact.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Several items of property that have been found have various engraved messages on them.

“These would appear to be items that would be of sentimental to someone.

“Can you help, do these items belong to you or someone you know?”

Among the items is a photograph of a woman in a frame as well as engraved items.

The engravings including ‘Hoping you have the time of your life. Love Mam. Oct 31st 1988. Your Wedding Day’ and ‘Thank you for being our bridesmaid 11th June 1985’.

Anyone with information should call 101 and ask to speak to Proactive CID at Musselburgh Police Station.
