A MUSSELBURGH woman racially abused a supermarket worker during an incident in Edinburgh.
Jacqueline Reynolds acted in a racially aggressive manner towards staff member Jamal Bashir at the Sainsbury’s store on the Capital’s South Bridge.
Reynolds, of Musselburgh’s Old Course Gate, shouted, swore and uttered offensive and derogatory remarks on January 24 last year.
The 44-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence when she appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Monday.
She also had a plea of not guilty accepted by the Crown to assaulting Mr Bashir by spitting on him during the same incident.
Sheriff Thomas Welsh deferred sentence on Reynolds to next month.
