A HADDINGTON woman has been placed on supervision after she behaved aggressively towards her partner.
Lorraine Birrell shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence towards the man at the couple’s home at Aberlady Road on February 4 last year. Birrell, 53, admitted the offence when she appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month.
During the hearing, Birrell also had not guilty pleas accepted by the Crown to assaulting her partner with a pot and to possessing cannabis, all on the same date.
She returned to the dock at the Capital court last Thursday, where Sheriff Kevin McCarron sentenced her to be placed under the supervision of the local social work department for the next 12 months.
