PEOPLE going above and beyond will be recognised at Haddington Festival this summer.
The Haddington Heroes awards were launched in 2022 following the Covid-19 pandemic.
At that time, more than a dozen awards were handed out to volunteers who had stepped up to help people during a challenging time.
The ceremony returned last year, with more people recognised for their efforts. Now preparations are under way for this summer’s event.

Haddington’s community councillors discussed the occasion at their most recent meeting.
Suggestions were made as to who could be put forward for an award.
Therese Laing, chairwoman of the group, was keen to find people who could be recognised.
